The Romanesque monastery, completed in the 11th century,
is located northwest of the rock. This is the ancient
heart of the abbey. It has a similarity with the Gothic
monastery: the different rooms are superimposed. At the
top, the monks' dormitory, which now houses a bookstore.
Just below is the promenade of the monks. And still deeper
the room of the north, dark and cold, which owes its name
to the wind traversait.Les chapels Saint Martin and Notre
Dame Thirty Candles are also part of the oldest buildings
of the abbey.
